Swedish Heritage
We are Nobel-Monitor #130 a local lodge in Pennsylvania District #9 of the Vasa Order of America. The lodge is a fraternal society that Swedes originally established for the benefit of Swedish immigrants a century ago. Now we dedicate ourselves to preserving and sharing our Nordic culture and heritage. In 2018 we celebrated the 110th anniversary of our founding on 1/18/1908.
Member Meetings
The lodge holds regular member meetings at Peace Lutheran Church, 3740 Mayfield Rd, Cleveland Heights, OH 44121 on the second Sunday of each month. We celebrate Midsummer in June, and the Lucia and Christmas party in December at designated locations. We do not have regular meetings in July but usually have a summer picnic or luncheon cruise on Lake Erie in August.
At our meetings, you will find an opportunity to socialize with fellow members of Nordic roots sharing common history and interests.
Membership
Membership is open to men and women over 14 years of age of Nordic roots, (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish or Icelandic) and their spouses. Nobel Monitor lodge welcomes all those who would like to discover or rediscover the traditions of their forefathers. We also welcome those who are not of Nordic ancestry. Those who are committed to the promotion and advancement of Swedish and Nordic heritage and culture. We welcome all, members or not, to our open events.
